If you aim to achieve bit color, you will indeed need a corresponding Quadro. The Quadro Ps were updated in as well and are benchmarking measurable improvements across the board for the intended applications. If you may scale in the future, you may want to invest in a P or more. The datasheets here are very helpful. Considering that the block chains are just arithmetic algorithms; the calculation capacity and durability of the Quadro and Tesla cards, would just crush the numbers for mining!

The biggest difference though is Quadro is built for precision, Geforce is built for speed. If you have a calculation error using CAD on a bridge, it could fall down and kill people. If you get a minor error while gaming you probably won't even notice the glitch. That's the real difference, not just marketing fluff.
