Why does ksp lag




















Some mods can cause lag. Are you using 'Mapsat'? Make sure its all turned off during launch or it causes major lag. Dont turn it on until in orbit around mappable planets and moons. During launch there is a lot of calculations, so it can be slow even on the beefiest computers.

Especially higher part counts. So much so that the game will go into slow motion so it can do all the calculations. The one physics setting, 'delta time something or other' set at by default, is part of that system. If you changed that, it could be the reason for your lag problem.

Sliding it all the way right will help reduce lag, but its almost all the way to the right by default.. So it wont help much. If you slid it left at all, that will put even more stress on your PC. Lastly, other programs running can cause crashes and slow-downs.

Game and messaging apps, etc. If you have stuff turned on, try playing with it off. See what happens..
